克里夫蘭騎士即將在新球季開幕戰領到隊史第一枚冠軍戒，也是死守克城的主控「KI」Kyrie Irving生涯第一枚NBA冠軍戒，他決定用這份榮耀榮耀他的父親。
Irving的父親叫Drederick Irving，過去也是籃球員，就讀波士頓大學時就接受名教頭Rick Pitino指導，後來到澳洲打職籃，也在墨爾本生下Irving，由於母親早逝，父子相依為命，感情一直都很好。
「我幾乎給了我老爸任何東西。」Irving說：「所以，從我小時候開始的每個成就、每座MVP、每座獎座，我最後都會送他，我想應該有12、13樣吧。」
騎士開幕戰將是26日主場對紐約尼克，賽前將舉辦頒贈戒指儀式，「我們不該對此感到害羞，但同時這也是新旅程的開始，我很興奮能把戒指交給我爸，這對他來說一定是個大禮。」
